For over a year now, you’ve collaborated with Volcom on different collections. Where do you draw your inspiration from for developing all these lines?
GEORGIA: I’m really inspired by different decades in fashion. I make a mood board for each collection with photographs from the 70s and old fashion shoots. I also get inspiration from what I see women wearing on the street.
Which piece in the collection do you wish you could wear all the time?
GEORGIA: The Denim Dress. We worked really hard on the fit and it’s very flattering.
What are your favorite pieces?
GEORGIA: I love the sequin top and skirt. I can’t wait to wear them to holiday parties.
What attracts you to fashion design?
GEORGIA: I guess I’ve always wanted to make my dream clothes that I have always wanted to wear or my friends have always wished existed.
What’s your favorite memory from this collection?
GEORGIA: I love designing every Volcom collection. For me it’s just a dream to get to design pieces I’ve always wanted for my own wardrobe. The light pink coat is so cozy and I’ve always wanted a coat like it.
In light of your spectacular career, you doubtlessly have a number of brands that would love to work with you. Why did you choose Volcom?
GEORGIA: Volcom came to London to tell me about the project. I obviously knew about them when I was younger because I used to wear Volcom. I think what attracted me to work with the brand most was the fact that they wanted me to be really involved in the campaign and designing the collection – that was really exciting for me.
